A Cyble report uncovered credentials of 14 major cybersecurity vendors on the dark web, stressing the need for robust monitoring. Zoho’s survey highlighted India’s leadership in workplace digital transformation but revealed gaps in cybersecurity readiness. Meanwhile, Telegram captchas were exploited for malware distribution using Ross Ulbricht’s story as bait.
The Trump administration dissolved DHS advisory committees, including CISA’s Cyber Safety Review Board, to prioritize homeland security. Iran and Russia deepened cybersecurity ties, raising global concerns over internet freedom. India’s central government introduced AI-driven tools to combat cybercrime, focusing on women and children’s safety while enhancing forensic capabilities nationwide.
Major Cybersecurity Vendors’ Credentials Found on Dark Web
Threat intelligence firm Cyble has uncovered thousands of account credentials linked to 14 leading cybersecurity vendors on the dark web. Leaked since early 2025, these credentials include internal and customer accounts, accessible via platforms like Okta, GitHub, and Salesforce.
Priced as low as $10, the data appears to have been extracted from infostealer logs. While multi-factor authentication may mitigate risks, Cyble highlights the critical need for dark web monitoring to prevent larger breaches.
India Tops Workplace Digital Transformation but Trails in Cybersecurity
Zoho’s “Workplace Digital Transformation Survey 2025” reveals India leads in digital workplace transformation maturity (64.6%) compared to the global average (62.3%). Despite this, cybersecurity readiness remains a significant challenge.
Based on responses from 5,000 employees, the survey outlines four transformation levels: informal, standardized, structured, and optimized operations. It emphasizes integrating AI and analytics while improving employee experience and workplace security to sustain growth.
Telegram Captcha Lures Users into Malware Traps
Cybercriminals are exploiting Telegram’s captcha systems to infect users with malware via malicious PowerShell scripts. Using Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht as a lure, attackers trick users into executing harmful code. This variation of the “Click-Fix” scam capitalizes on users’ attempts to verify themselves. Security experts urge vigilance, warning that these tactics blur the line between security verification and malicious activity.
DHS Ends Advisory Committees Amid New Cyber Focus
The Trump administration has disbanded all DHS advisory committees, including CISA’s Cyber Safety Review Board. Acting Secretary Benjamine C. Huffman stated the move aligns with national security priorities.
The disbanded CSRB had previously criticized Microsoft for lapses exploited by China-linked group Storm-0558 in 2023. Future DHS efforts will focus on core mission goals and strategic priorities.
Iran and Russia Strengthen Cybersecurity Alliance
Iran and Russia have signed a strategic agreement to deepen ties in cybersecurity and internet regulation. The pact includes collaboration on combatting cybercrimes and managing national internet infrastructure.
Both nations aim to establish stricter global tech regulations and challenge international norms. Critics highlight censorship, surveillance, and online speech restrictions in both countries as ongoing concerns.
India Deploys AI to Tackle Rising Cybercrime
India’s central government is leveraging AI to combat surging cybercrime cases, especially those targeting women and children. An AI tool, spearheaded by the Indian Cybercrime Coordination Center, will analyze crime patterns to preempt threats.
Financial aid has also been allocated to bolster cyber forensic capabilities nationwide. This initiative reflects a growing emphasis on technology-driven solutions for national security.
