1. APT41 Infiltrates Networks in Europe and Asia

Organizations in the shipping, logistics, media, entertainment, technology, and automotive sectors across Italy, Spain, Taiwan, Turkey, and the U.K. are under a “sustained campaign” by China-based APT41.


2. CrowdStrike Update Mishap Exploited by Cybercriminals

Cybercriminals are exploiting a flawed CrowdStrike update to distribute Remcos RAT malware to customers in Latin America. They are disguising the malware as a “crowdstrike-hotfix.zip,” launching a series of phishing attacks. CISA has issued warnings to avoid suspicious links.


3. Two Russians Convicted for LockBit Attacks

Ruslan Magomedovich Astamirov and Mikhail Vasiliev, affiliates of the LockBit ransomware gang, have pleaded guilty to multiple charges. Astamirov faces up to 25 years in prison and will forfeit $350,000 in extorted cryptocurrency. Vasiliev faces up to 45 years in prison.
